Billy Ruegger

A seasoned guitarist and vocalist whose extensive experience and knowledge have made him a standout figure in Connecticut's music scene.

Renowned as both a successful bandleader and a sought-after sideman, Billy's career spans a diverse array of musical experiences. While earning his degree at The New School for Jazz, he honed his craft performing in New York City jazz clubs.

His journey continued with nationwide tours as part of Mystic Bowie’s Talking Dreads, a reggae band, and evolved further during his time as a solo acoustic performer in Key West, FL.

Driven by a passion for mastering established genres and an eagerness to explore new musical territories, Billy has cultivated an artistic voice that pays homage to his inspirations—icons like The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and John Scofield—while remaining uniquely his own.

In addition to creating and performing original music, Billy serves as the lead vocalist and guitarist for Born and Raised, a tribute band celebrating the music of fellow Fairfield native John Mayer. Based in New York City, Billy continues to perform regularly across the northeastern U.S. and Key West, FL.
